first day in vegas

so this is my vegas...nashville.

i moved. some of you knew, most of you didn't, and i didn't see it coming. if i were to be honest you'd know that i have been planning this for months. i just never told anyone. see, the reason i do things without telling people is because it's just easier, for everyone.

i've spent the last elevan months in muncie. how deeply i am in debt to probably a hundred people who took me in when i needed it most. but my time is done. i felt like it was the last few pages of the "divorce" chapter. i moved to muncie simply for security and i gained life, lasting friendships, and A LOT of memories.

so now i'm in nashville, tennessee. the city of love. the city of music. the city of hillbillies. but i have loved all 24 hours of it. here's a quick pic into my first 24.

12pm | day started with anna and shawn downtown at the river grille for lunch
1pm | walked the streets of what is called "nashvegas". tourist trap and every city dwellers nightmare
2pm-5pm | ebay sales...what else?
6pm | worked out at the gym with jesse and anna
7:30pm | dinner at RosePepper's (best margarita's in town)
9pm | super mario 3 & Dr. Mario
12:37am | writing this blog!

so in short, that was my first day in "vegas". cheers to new life, i start here.

wow, you had some great food for your first day there. here are some other places to eat: sitar, an indian place on broadway - go for the lunch buffet...pizza perfect - i mean, it really is perfect, i think it's on 21st? vandy campus somewhere. um also pancake pantry (21st), PM which is in the little belmont village, and if Kristin comes to visit take her to F. Scott's, it's really swanky in Green Hills. So many more but I feel like a food geek right now so I'll shutup. :)

Yes take Kristin to F.Scotts ...in fact surprise her by picking her up in a Honda Element (rented of course).

Justy Butt-
Just caught your blog. I am sorry you have gone through such a rough patch. I can't imagine the loss you have felt. I understand your struggles with the church (to some extent). Hopefully some day you'll be back in the church and it feels right.

Our band was real and true. If nothing else- we learned a lot and were very close. You were the best band leader I have ever had- hands down. It has never been the same for me.

God doesn't want to get you in a room and talk about what you've done wrong. Neither do I. You are a kindred spirit, a kind soul. I miss you and Jes- I'm sorry it didn't work out.

I will be praying for you.

Does nashvegas have Comedy night at the Herot? Don't answer that we don't want to know we have been replaced. Glad to hear you are liking it there. Hope you have found your place.
