let me preface this short entry by saying that this city is not "the best" city for everyone, just for me.

i've been in several conversations lately where both friends and strangers agree nashville truly is one of the best cities in america. especially for the young (aged 20-40). there is something really wonderful about this place and i'm slowly beginning to see why. the economy is bursting with life and for good reason too. Nashville is a leader in finance and insurance, health care, music and entertainment, publishing, transportation technology, higher education, biotechnology, tourism and conventions. In June 2003, Moody's Investors Service placed Nashville 8th in a ranking of the top 10 most diversified local economies. Also in 2003, Nashville ranked 25th in Forbes magazine's May issue listing top places for business and careers.

so what about the fun stuff right?! being one of the edgiest cities in america with music, you can go out any night of the week and catch a different flavor. my prediction is nashville will be home to some of the greatest rock n' roll bands in the next 5 years. forget country music for a second and get ready for a fresh sound of old an new rock. sex rock, dance rock, techno rock, classic rock, you name it and it's here.

so this is my home. i moved here february 17th and did not know what to expect. let's just say i'm not going anywhere for awhile. that is a strange feeling for me as i have moved close to 8 times in the last year. ah (deep breath), the feeling of settled down is good.
